We love this country. This is our eighth visit and the fifth in the last six years. Before we go back down to Tamarindo on the ocean Saturday, we are spending a couple of nights at the Blue River Resort, a remote lodge on the north side of the local mountains. The climate is influenced by the Caribbean, not the nearby Pacific. Below, toward the west, it is very dry and windy. Here, at higher altitude, it is misty and lush. These are scenes driving in on the back roads on the way in this afternoon.
