Some days start out really foggy. Actually, sometimes the fog lingers until well after noon and it gives backlit life an almost black and white feel... What you are seeing here is the view from the north wing of the palace's honour courtyard towards Saint-Louis cathedral (yes, that'd be the dome there more or less in the middle). This photo had been taken from more or less the same spot as this one had.
Certains jours commencent bien embrumés et parfois la brume ne finit par se lever qu'à l'heure du déjeuner, donnant à la vie à contre-jour un petit air de noir et blanc... Ce que vous voyez ici, c'est la vue depuis l'aile des ministres du château sur la cour d'honneur vers la cathédrale Saint-Louis. Cette photo a été prise quasiment du même endroit que ne l'avait été celle-ci.
