Trust is in short supply

A couple of posts ago I showed you the "Queen Bee" statue on the Eureka Tower in Southbank, Melbourne. Sydney doesn't "do" that sort of public art-work any way near as well as Melbourne does. They DELIBERATELY go out of their way to stick it everywhere.

This is nowhere in the same league, but does prove that it pays to look up ever-so-often. I do not know whether this chap is a gargoyle, or a grotesque, but I do suspect he is ugly and shy.

The Trust Building stands on the cornewr of King and Castlereagh Streets in the City, and is addressed as 155 King Street. It was built between 1914 and 1916, for The Daily Telegraph, which is now, but wasn't then, the terrier-rag of one, Rupert Murdoch.
