A short time after I took the photo in yesterday's post, the body of Our Lady of Artica was ablaze. A couple of minutes later the arm pennants collapsed all at once and the head became a torch. In a little while the whole structure crumbled to the wild cheers of the crowd. Bands returned to the stages while people danced into the night.
