La tour Marlborough restaurée

Tour Marlborough hameau de la reine Versailles
A winter view of restored Marlborough tower at the queen's hamlet. You had seen it here during its restoration last year with a link to previous photos.

Vous l'aviez vue en restauration ici l'année dernière avec un lien vers des photos antérieures.

Sleepy cats share their bench with me

.

I tried not to wake the fluffy sleeping cat, but his was the only bench I could find for my picnic.

The cats at the Open Museum in Omer Industrial Park all seem to feel protected and are laid back and pettable.

And apparently also well-fed because they didn't beg while I sat between two of them and ate my cheese sandwich.

Art & Cake

When you get an invite to see some art and eat cake you'd be crazy not to go.  The best part is when both are truly fabulous.

Lumas Gallery have launched a series of fabulous postcard size photos bonded in acrylic.  They have a unique hook on the back which is also a magnet.  Hang on the wall or stick all over your fridge, get a group and make a mosaic (like in the picture above).

Check out some of the fun and quirky ready to hang images they are currently selling.

Oh and the cakes, they were made by Konditor and Cook! (Remember Ted's favourite mince pies). Yum.

Condiments

Dog Parade 2016-01-31 10
This thing just gets weirder every year at this event. Wiener dogs are a running joke but I have not seen them so fully garnished before.

Below, the Cardinals ubiquitous idiot mascot, Fredbird. If you live in St. Louis you can't escape him. He's like death and taxes.

The Grand Parade is today. I expect to be there with shutters popping.
