Les trois visages
Just a pretty façade in Montreuil neighbourhood today, can you see the three faces? Actually, VDP has shown you this house before, a completely different view though, it was here!
Juste une jolie façade à Montreuil aujourd'hui, vous voyez les trois visages ? A vrai dire, VDP vous l'avait déjà montrée mais sous un jour totalement différent ! C'était ici.

If the beautiful old basilica is empty, test its great acoustics with a song.
Outside are the famous pools of Bethesda.
For some Christians this weekend is the Sunday of the Paralytic, about the story in John 5:1-9.
But Sr.Dr. Vassa Larin has helpful, welcome advice for us all, based on this story of healing, e.g. our past, no matter how difficult, can be beneficial, "So, let‘s not wallow in the bed of our past, but take it up and walk, to the greater glory of God."

| Never was one given to the more genteel, drawing-room, arts, and although I have some knowledge of gardening, I have no idea what this flower-head is. My grand-daughter is learning to press flowers, and to display them in a book. She will be reading Jane Austen next! |
A Proper Send Off
A cockney funeral passes by. A glass carriage containing the coffin is drawn by four white horses with white plumes on their heads. The men in black suits and dark glasses who are paying their final respects following behind in the black cars with darkened windows. A ritual that belongs with a generation and culture that is changing as fast as London.
